From every angle
Angle has control of or access to strategically located processing and pipeline infrastructure.
Angle is mastering the application of horizontal wells with multi-stage fracturing in formations that were previously untested.
Angle's shift to large resource-in-place plays developed through horizontal multi-stage fractured wells dramatically broadened its opportunity base.
Angle’s ongoing shift to light oil and the most liquids-rich gas opportunities has one strategic aim: value creation. These commodities offer higher netbacks, but today reside mainly in lower-quality reservoirs. That’s driving Angle’s shift to horizontal drilling with multi-stage fracturing, which economically unlocks these tighter reservoirs. High-rate horizontal wells add reserves and production at good capital efficiencies, and achieve lower operating costs.
The results are clear: steady drilling success drove Angle’s first-quarter 2011 production mix to 17% light oil and condensate and 22% lighter liquids. Angle's drive to add high-netback light oil and other natural gas liquids will continue throughout 2011 and 2012.
