About NGL

Lone Pine

The Lone Pine Creek area, which was acquired through a farm-in with ExxonMobil Canada along with selective Crown land purchases, is located 20 kilometres east of the Company’s Harmattan core area. Angle's objective is to extend the Lone Pine Creek Wabamun pool, which has produced a cumulative 500 bcf of natural gas since its discovery in the mid-1950s, into an under-explored area to the north.

The Company's technical team has used production history, geological analog wells, 3D seismic, and pressure data to define this prospect. Angle commenced drilling in the second quarter of 2009.

Key facts:

  • 23,040 acres of 100 percent working interest lands, mix of freehold and Crown, lying east of Harmattan core area.
  • High-quality reservoir with long production history in Alberta.
  • 3-D seismic coverage over most of prospect area.
  • Sour (5-10 percent H2S) natural gas targets at 2,400 metres depth.
  • Angle is conducting environmental and community consultations and will ensure operations continue to proceed in a safe manner.
  • Target Wabamun initial productivity 3-4 mmcf/d, reserves 5+ bcf per successful well.
  • Significant expansion potential with moderate exploratory risk.
  • Company drilled its first commitment well in Q2; successful gas well.
